That was until I was told that because of my Filipino ethnicity, I could have a huge party when I turned 18. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still looking forward to my wedding in about 10 years, but today I’m more excited about this amazing party we’re all in right now.

But there are many people who could not have made this night possible without their help or presence.

So I am very grateful to all the families who have flown in or flown out of Seattle, Chicago and Winnipeg. Having you here makes this night even more special and it’s so nice to see you all again.
