Aqua, Goddess Of Water
Aqua is one of the three main deuteragonists in Konosuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world! novel series, as well as its anime and manga adaptations.
Aqua is voiced by Sora Amamiya in the Japanese version of the anime (who also voiced Akame in Akame ga Kill!) and by Faye Mata in the English dub (who also voiced Astolfo in Fate/Apocrypha).
Aqua is described as an unearthly beauty. Kazuma notes that her beauty is “beyond idols shown on TV” and “surpasses humans”.
Aqua [the Useless Goddess]
She has waist-length blue hair that is partially tied into a bow with a clip in the shape of a water molecule (H₂O). Aqua’s clothing has a blue color scheme, with her ordinary outfit consisting of a vest, detached sleeves, thigh-high boots, an extremely short skirt, and a see-through petticoat with no panties underneath. She also wears a divine relic; a translucent pink Haceromo, which can disappear and reappear around her at her will.
Aqua has an interesting but troublesome personality. She is lively, cheerful, and carefree, but rarely thinks about the consequences of her actions. While she does not impose her beliefs on others, Aqua always acts or speaks according to her whims; therefore, she can behave very inappropriately in many situations. It’s also very easy to tease Aqua or lure her in with praise. Since Aqua, as a goddess, thrives on praise/worship points, she usually performs good deeds, but then immediately ruins her own merits by aggressively and persistently seeking praise. Also, while many of her ‘good deeds of hers’ turn out well, Aqua is very short-sighted, and some of these ‘good deeds’ actually turn out to be complete disasters. One of Aqua’s positive personality traits is her “honesty from her”. She is incapable of lying, or more precisely, she has no concept of lying and she is so bad at it that her lies give away. When she gets caught lying, all she needs is pinches on her cheeks for her Aqua to reveal everything. On the other hand, she is very gullible and does not believe that people can lie to her. However, when Aqua becomes stubborn, others may also lie a bit to make Aqua more likeable. While Aqua thinks highly of herself, she actually has a business sense that is equal to or worse than Wiz.
Aqua tends to run away in fear of the mindless lesser undead, completely forgetting that it is only because they seek salvation from her purification powers; as a result, she wastes her time being afraid and running away. Due to her stupidity, Aqua is unaware that this trauma has resulted in her psychotic hatred of the sentient undead; as a result, she constantly bullies Wiz (a sweet-natured lich) and Vanir (Kazuma’s business partner).

Konosuba S2 Ep 9 Review: Aqua Is A Goddess (except To Her Followers)
Aqua has an interesting but troublesome personality. She is lively, cheerful, and carefree, but rarely thinks about the consequences of her actions. While she does not impose her beliefs on others, Aqua always acts or speaks according to her whims; therefore, she can behave very inappropriately in many situations. It’s also very easy to tease Aqua or lure her in with praise. Contrary to popular belief, Aqua is not completely stupid. Aqua can be very observant and knowledgeable when she wants to. At times, she and Megumin basically served as the team’s walking encyclopedias. Aqua simply lacks the basic analytical skills and self-awareness to use her knowledge effectively. She can be very tolerant and will easily accept and forgive other people’s imperfections and mistakes. However, part of her sympathetic nature is actually an extremely poor short-term memory, as she sometimes forgets her own identity as a goddess when she enjoys her new life too much. Furthermore, despite her seeming vanity as she seeks praise, Aqua is unaware of the true greatness of her and her priestess’s artistic abilities, as she has nonchalantly performed many extraordinary, near-impossible feats.
Aqua Konosuba A.k.a Useless Goddess Sig.shadow
Lastly, due to her traumatic experiences with giant toads and brutal alligators, Aqua is very cowardly against tough monsters; she will often make up silly excuses as to why she can’t fight or that she is “urgently” needed elsewhere.
As a goddess, Aqua’s power is directly related to the devotion of her followers. Due to how fanatical the members of the Axis Order are, Aqua has a large reserve of magic which has occasionally been used as a battery to recharge Megumin’s Explosion spell. Even though her strength weakened after having to forcibly descend into the mortal world, Aqua still radiates a divine aura that naturally attracts monsters and the undead. As a goddess of water, Aqua specializes in water spells and can even cast Holy level spells restricted to deities.
Descending to the mortal plane, Aqua assumes the role of Arch-Priest for the party and is responsible for using support magic to help other party members heal status infliction and revive fallen party members.
Aqua! The Useless Goddess!
Master Artist: As a muse of the arts, Aqua is an extremely talented artist, capable of repairing a photo of Darkness’s finances with the minimal tools at hand and even creating a giant robot handmade from milk cartons. However, her greedy and lazy nature makes her unable to take advantage of her artistic talents financially.
Aqua will help the team during certain missions that don’t involve tough monsters. She is able to manipulate water. Being a troublemaker, Aqua will put herself in dangerous situations where she inadvertently slips away from her. Before her life in the land of Fantasy World, she was primarily known as the Goddess of Water whose job it was to guide humans to the afterlife.
Within the Fantasy World, she is worshiped by the Axis Order who live in the Kingdom of Belzerg in a small place called Alcanretia.
My Useless Goddess Can’t Be This Cute!”
Aqua is fanatically worshiped by her followers of her Axis Order, which innately grants her a large amount of mana and makes her one of the most terrifying goddesses in the Konosuba universe.
When it comes to Aqua’s age; she is much older in God’s years than she is in Fantasy World. Time in Heaven is much slower compared to our world, or even the Fantasy World. In the fifth volume of Konosuba, Aqua says that a month in Japan is an hour in
