I saw it and thought the same! I like media mode though, so I already have it. For those who are strapped [and keep $80 in their wallet], this is a great $10 alternative, especially if they have a mic adapter. IIRC, the latest Pahlan 9 firmware does interface with the mic adapter.

I bought myself a slim power bank, it holds about 6 charges, and I’ve started taking it on long trips. I use it with media mode. So far so good, no problems. It is better than replacing the battery.

The new Session camera line would be great, but I don’t think GoPro thinks it’s a worthwhile investment – even though the Session cameras hold their resale value better than the standard camera line.
A vlogging deal for session line would be a good way for them to earn extra money.

My hero 8 was actually cheap to buy was using a hero 5 session at the time! This session camera is still in high demand because of its size, many off-roaders want it.
