On Netflix, you may have seen Daphne’s plump lips and cheekbones. If not, you should definitely check out the soothing lip balm that brings out this beauty. dr. Pawpaw Multi-Purpose Pain Balm is a British brand, one tube is sold worldwide every 60 seconds. Of course, I’ll have to try the balm to see how it holds up on chapped lips, chapped cuticles and winter skin. Here is my review of Dr. Pawpaw Multipurpose Soothing Balm. Wow!
First, what is a paw? This is not a contrived grief. The actual fruit of the Carica papaya plant, a relative of the sliced papaya in your fruit bowl. Carica is known to contain anti-inflammatory vitamins A, C and E, as well as iron, potassium and magnesium. All the best for skin and lips, especially for protection against dry and cold conditions.
The formula also contains aloe vera, an anti-inflammatory agent, and olive oil, a well-known antioxidant. The basic formula is clear (it’s in a yellow tube) and can be applied to lips, cuticles, elbows, knees, insect bites, ingrown hairs, and diaper rash. Balms are similar to oils such as Vaseline and Aquaphor, although they contain castor oil instead of oil.
Dr. Pawpaw + Dr. Paw Paw Original Balm
In fact, Dr. Pawpaw was started in 2013 when the founders daughter was diagnosed with eczema. Parents need an alternative to prescription steroids to relieve eczema itchiness and rashes. Remember that Dr. Pawpaw is not a substitute for eczema treatment or medical advice.
Apply Dr. Pawpaw on a dry body part. It’s really, really simple. The applicator is a small flat tip that is difficult to apply directly to the lips. I usually squeeze some product on the back of my hand and apply it to my finger. The angled application is a nice addition to the collection. Dr. Pawpaw also has a blue tube that contains shea butter as a moisturizing ingredient. This product is also lightweight and can be used as a base balm. (Here are some natural moisturizers you may already have at home.)
I started my experiment with Dr. Pawpaw Multilayer Moisturizer on the lips. My lips tend to dry out faster in winter and early spring. I use it as a heavy sleeping mask and wake up to hydrated and soft lips that stay hydrated all day long. Of course, I’m hooked on the shade of the balm and now reapply in the middle of the evening. I also rub my cuticles a bit to keep them in shape and prevent frizz. Applying it on the elbows will soothe dry skin. Yes, I have used very little conditioner to smooth out the flyaways when putting my hair in a bun.
The balm is heavy and protective, but also light. I haven’t noticed any greasy effect with oily lip balms. Dr. Pawpaw is flavored and unscented. No artificial products or medicated scents here.
