A hat is a special gift for a lifetime, and as a lover of history, I think it’s important to include some basic details for posterity.
Looking at a beautiful cover that has survived the passage of time, like the 1718 coverlet, helps us understand how important the details are.
However, adding hat tags isn’t always the most fun thing to do. I still have some work to do, am I the only one?!

At a minimum, the label should state who made it and when. If you don’t like making your own, you can buy personalized printed labels that are perfect to add to your hat.
Alternatively, you can use a metal pencil to write your mark. Not sure how long the ink will last, do I do this often?

Each person has their own unique notebook, and I think adding a handwritten signature makes it even more special. Your person as always. I especially loved making this for the kids
I also sometimes use the sewing machine’s alphabet function to sew the logo before I slip it into place.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always a little afraid to wash my hat.I remember being so nervous on my first bed!
(I also found out that you can get these reusables now, which you can get when the stock runs low!)
