Adorable Diy Baby Boy Shower Ideas That Will Make You Smile

In a few days I will be welcoming the arrival of one of my best friend’s third babies, and I couldn’t be more excited for her and this new addition to her family! When we found out she was having a girl, we all shared the baby shower and I was responsible for some of the decorations, and I was really excited because I love doing that kind of thing. For one of the decorations, I made this cute diaper wreath in her favorite colors! In this tutorial I’ll show you the basic steps on how to do this, but feel free to use your imagination to choose colors and little extras that will make it special!

If you want to make the same size wreath as mine, you will need at least size 20 diapers 5. If you are using a smaller size, you may need to use more. So buy a box, count to 20, and then roll each one up and wrap it with a rubber band or hair tie.

Since this is also a disposable gift for a new baby, I wanted to use some high quality diapers. That’s why I buy Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers at Sam’s Club. The great thing is when you go to Sam’s Club for Huggies Snug & Dry, you save over $10. Even better – right now there’s a great deal on Ibotta to save an extra $7 off Snug & Dry at Sam’s Club. I chose Huggies Snug & Dry because I know it’s reliable and can be trusted to keep baby’s skin dry. As a mother myself, I know how important that is.

After all the diapers are rolled and wrapped with rubber bands or hair ties, you can then cut small pieces of 1 1/2 inch ribbon, cover the rubber bands and glue them in place with a glue gun hot.

Now it’s time to make the base of the wreath, using a cardboard box. I decided to save some money, so I used the same box that Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers come in. Start by cutting two separate rings to the correct size and then glue them together so that the base is stronger (see measurements below).

Once they are glued together, paint them with your desired color of acrylic paint, preferably the same color as the ribbon you bought. It doesn’t matter if the paint job isn’t perfect, because the inner ring will be covered as well.

After it is painted, start attaching each diaper one by one with a hot glue gun, trying not to leave too much space between each diaper.

Next, cut several long strips of tulle and tie them together in a knot in the space between the diapers. I used three strips of tulle in each space to cover as many rings as possible. After all the strips are tied together, you can cut off the excess pieces so they are all the same length.

You’re almost done! To hang, glue a piece of ribbon to the back in the form of a loop and you’re done! Now you can add toys, baby shampoo or oil, stuffed animals – these are some great options or whatever you want to add. Use your imagination!

I’m having a baby shower on April 10th. The couple are expecting twins… a boy and a girl. I will be doing this for sure, using pink and blue ribbon. I have one question. How do baby oils and powders stick? Do you attach an extra piece of ribbon to the back and bring it to the front to attach the item, or is it attached by the cross ribbon on the diaper? I can’t tell with a picture. This is so cute, and I’m sure they won’t get another one like it. Thanks for sharing.

Adorable Diy Baby Shower Favors!

This is so precious, I have a new great grandson in September and I will definitely be making it for the bath and then maybe he can hang it on the baby’s bedroom door for a while.

This is cute. I’ve made Diaper Cakes and tried wreaths once. Now that I see you, I’m going to try the wreath again. Thanks for sharing! One question…. How did you place the Teddy in the middle?

Thanks for looking at it! The bunny has a loop at the top, so I used a little glue to attach a small piece of ribbon to the bottom of the wreath and tie the ribbon to the loop. Hope it helps! 🙂 Looking for a unique baby shower gift that a mom-to-be will LOVE?! My wreath of onesies is a cute DIY baby shower gift idea that is simple and easy to make. Spring Wreath Ideas

I’m so excited to share with you cute and unique baby gift ideas to surprise your family, friends, coworkers or any other special pregnant lady in your life! It’s called Wreath Onesies and you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to create. I think it makes a gift even more special when it’s actually made by the person giving it. I can say this from personal experience because everyone I gave this Bouquet of Onesies to was very happy and grateful to receive it.

If you’ve been following me regularly, you’ll know that I’ve been surrounded by all things adorable. Babies have taken over my life lately. My cousin Chelsea has had two little girls in the last two years, not to mention my best friend Kristen is due with her second child in May.

My friend Tanya showed me how to make this wreath years ago and I’ve been creating it ever since. I also made a wreath for Tanya when she was expecting her first baby girl. I’m so glad he taught me how to make them years ago because they really are something special. I have been “wawing” pregnant women with this device ever since. Thank you very much, Tanya!

I would like to apologize in advance for the quality of the pictures here. I put this wreath together at night and the quality suffered. I have a few other pictures of the wreaths I made during the day, so I try to add them where I can. If you have any questions, leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you.

Easy Ways To Make A Wreath

I bought my 14 inch styrofoam garland at Joann Fabric. It is important to choose a wreath with a flat surface and not one that is round all the way. It seems so.

Styrofoam tends to leak quite a bit. To prevent all the styrofoam from getting stuck to your material, you need to take plastic wrap and completely cover the wreath. You simply wrap plastic wrap around the entire wreath.

The next step is to add the baby onesies to the wreath. You will need a long pearl pin and about two newborn size baby wraps for this. When choosing onesies (and all the other materials), I do my best to pull things from the baby registry because I know these are the items moms are going to choose.

Start by folding the sleeves of the onesie. Weave a onesie under the wreath as pictured below.

Take the free end of the onesie and wrap it around the garland until the neckline of the onesie is now.
