Cut a 33″ x 6″ piece of fabric from the green fabric and the red fabric.
How To Make A Folded Fabric Christmas Tree
** If your piece measures 6″ your triangles will be larger than 6″ on each side. The key is to make sure that all the angles in your triangles are 60 degrees and that all the sides are the same length.**

Using your 60° triangle template or, alternatively, the 60° ruler on your hanging ruler, cut ten 6” triangles on three sides of each strip.
You will now have 10 red 60° triangles and 10 green 60° triangles, all with sides that are 6”. This picture shows ten pairs when I cut the thickness twice.
Place a red triangle and a green triangle right side together. Connect them as shown in the red triangle in the image below.
Christmas Tree Napkin Fold
Take one of the triangles and cut it in half so that you have a right triangle with points 1 and 2 together.
Fold one of the points so that it touches the center of the triangle, where you made the creases. Sew in place.
In the same way, fold and sew the second and third points in the middle. This will create a hexagonal shape.
How To Make A Tree Skirt
Fold the hexagons up. Find the center of one of the edges of the original triangle (instead of the new edge) and fold it towards the center of the hexagon. Sew in place.
Make each of your triangles this way, making sure to fold the fabric the same way each time so that all of the completed triangles have the same color on the front.
Take your two triangle shapes and place them next to each other with a red curve on each line as shown in the image below.

Cut out a cube shape from brown felt, a tree trunk from light brown, and two decorative pieces from red, using brown scissors.
When the glue has dried on the bucket, sew two lines of stitching on each red line. (Sorry, the stitching doesn’t look right.) You can’t have too many Christmas decorations, right? As soon as I saw the new Blithe collection by Katarina Roccella I had to do a Christmas project with her. Prints have been making me daydream about snowy Christmases since she was a little girl. This project has a special meaning to me, because as I was driving home from the craft store, there was a little black cat crossing the road. I turned to save him, but there was nothing I could do. 🙁 So, in memory of the cat, I featured the cat fabric in the whole project. I dedicate the project to the little cat and I truly believe that he is happy now, in cat paradise. <3<3<3

The layout includes two different sizes and ideas for decorating your final products when you display them. Sewing Directory offers a free 6-sided DIY fabric Christmas tree pattern. You will need 2-3 quarts of oil in a separate copy and downloadable format. This project looks more complicated than it is, which is great for beginners and can be completed quickly. Once you’ve filled and sealed it, it’s ready to display on your table, counter, or dresser.

Create a quick and easy tablecloth Christmas tree with this Bombshell Bling pattern. The free pattern includes all three tree shapes and hole-making instructions so you can display your trees upright on any table or shelf.
These tree examples are all closed to give them an extra dimension. Although the techniques are similar, they differ slightly to create different end products.
