Headphones That Are Like Beats But Cheaper – I recently received a pair of Beats Solo3 headphones in a promotion when I bought a new computer from Apple. I was quite excited. I see these headphones everywhere so they must be good.
Then a friend told me they really weren’t that good and the sound on them was just okay.
Headphones That Are Like Beats But Cheaper
Then I remembered that I own a very cheap alternative to Beats. I bought them from a company called Monoprice and the headphones are $15 plus shipping. I remembered that and ordered another pair. This time the headphones were wireless earbuds and cost $15 (compared to the similar Beats version at $200). Guess what? They sound great too.
Beats Discontinues Powerbeats, Solo Pro, And Ep Headphones
The above headphones are currently on sale at Monoprice for $15.99. That’s right, $15.99. There is both a wired and a Bluetooth option. Can headphones that cost 1/10 the price of more popular ones even be good? Just read the CNET review below this capsule if in doubt.
Monoprice manufactures its own products. So think of them as Kirkland (Costco’s own brand) or Trader Joes of electronics. However, the savings exceed either Costco or Trader Joe’s. In fact, I’m not quite sure how to manufacture a pair of headphones for $15.99. It is of course possible.
In terms of comfort, the headphones have nice soft ear cushions and sit nicely around the ears. The earpieces move in a variety of directions and the tension on them doesn’t feel particularly harsh. They certainly don’t look as good as a pair of Beats. But if you value function over form, you’ll really appreciate these headphones.
Beats Studio3 Wireless Over Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones
A good aspect of these headphones, and many Monoprice headphones, is that the cord connects to the headphones. If you damage your cord, simply replace the cord. With other headphones, you often have to buy a whole new pair of headphones.
The sound in these headphones, like many mono-priced headphones, is nice and flat. That’s not to say they can’t pump out heavy bass or the like. However, the headphones have a nice, smooth quality to them. The sound is excellent and detailed. However, they do not tune the headphones to make the bass the prominent feature of the sound. Monoprice provides an important note when buying headphones. For really high quality sound, over-the-ear headphones are needed. Regardless of the quality of the buds, they will not compete with the quality of over-the-ear headphones.
The Monoprice Hi-Fi DJ Style Headphones are a great bargain. I can’t imagine that anyone who buys headphones and is aware of how much they cost will be disappointed with these at five times the price.
Walmart Just Slashed Prices On Beats, Samsung And More
It currently sells on Monoprice for $14.99. It’s a solid alternative to other wireless headphones that cost ten times as much.
Many people look for noise canceling features on headphones. However, I actually like these for the amount I can hear while wearing them. When I use the DJ headphones or the 2-in-1 headphones (reviewed below), I can’t hear anything. With this in I can hear the TV and my wife very well which is nice.
One of the things about most Monoprice headphones is that the sound is quite flat. Contrary to what you might think, this is a good thing. Manipulating bass is a way for many headphones to proclaim their “beats”. Unfortunately, this is not a good way to represent the sound. And usually this is at the expense of other frequencies.

These headphones use an extra large driver to deliver a sound that seems very well balanced. They are also comfortable. The odd shape is actually very conducive to long wear.
You kind of have to figure out how to connect them. They don’t come with good instructions, but it’s just a matter of holding down the power button. Once I paired them manually once, my computer did the job for me every time after that.
I bought these headphones because I was happy with my wireless earbuds. I couldn’t wait for the DJ headphones to be available in their wireless version.
Best Beats Headphones 2022: Budget And Premium
These headphones are interesting in that they have an external speaker on the outside of the headphones. You can turn on the external speakers (thereby turning off the internal speaker) so that others can hear. They can also be used as a pair of speakers.
I never thought I would use this feature. But I’ve had times when I laugh at something and my wife will ask me what’s so funny. I use the switch and let her listen. I haven’t seen another headphone with this feature yet.
The headphones feel solid. They also fold up nicely. Bluetooth worked flawlessly for me. The sound is the same flat sound as most Monoprice headphones. That is, it is a good sound that does not favor a certain frequency. The headphones also held their charge well.

I will say, I don’t find them quite as comfortable as the DJ headphones, but they are still comfortable. In terms of comfort and sound, I prefer the DJ headphones, but I still like these and they are currently my favorite for listening to music because they are wireless.
If you are looking for high quality but don’t want to pay high prices, Monoprice is the answer for many audio equipment. If you own a pair of Beats, Bose or Sony headphones, give Monoprice a try and do a little comparison. If you’re just looking to save hundreds of dollars, I think you’ll be very happy with your purchases.

Most music heard today is compressed audio tracks, regardless of which audio line the headphones are connected to, the chances are already there for very fine sound quality already lost.. probably most of the time to not much of a difference in the final output. of a headset.
A small difference may be there, but it’s really not worth it. Second, studio recordings vary from session to session, or studio to studio, which ultimately makes it difficult to get absolutely good quality on any system without adjusting the sound settings regardless of where the audio is played to the headphones.
