Best Book Series For 10 Year Olds – Everyone wants to get their kids reading and a truly immersive series is a great way to develop their inner bookworm. Izzy, a 10-year-old girl living in the UK, talks about her favorite children’s series.

I like different ones for different reasons. Some are sweet and some are funny. I like some because they feel ‘in’ in the book, like Harry Potter, Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Different, it’s more informal. I like series a bit more than books because in the beginning it’s normal life but in the end everything starts shaking. You start to know what is happening around you and why and what all the secrets are. With a series, you don’t have to pick a new book, you can get the next book in the series and you already know all the characters and the author doesn’t have to explain it again (although sometimes they do).

I like it because it’s something you can do on your own time. In your bed or somewhere cozy and read. It’s really nice, you don’t have to sit up straight. Every time you can sleep. It is very calm and relaxing.

. It’s really different from all the books I’ve read. It really puts you where you are reading. There are so many different cats, and you know all the names as if you knew them in real life. The way the author makes you believe in the book is really amazing. She can put so many descriptions and so many different emotions in the book, so you feel like you are there. It’s really good. You should read it.

It’s about cats in four separate clans, and there’s the occasional fight to defend their territory. Sometimes cats die. There are different types of names as you go through the lines. You spend six months in the nursery. Then you go up and train and spend six months (and then you have a something-claw-like name). Then you step up and become a warrior. You spend your time there until you get there and then, when you think you are too old, you go to the old man, where you stay until you die.

Much of the series is based on the Thunder Clan, a forest-dwelling tribe. The other clans are the Wind Clan who live above the ditch, the Shadow Clan who live in the pine forest, and the River Clan who live by the river. Everyone has different views on their different clan, but personally I think the Thunder clan is the best.

It’s not too violent, just a little. They have wars between clans and in one there is a big mix and all the clans are fighting. Some cats sometimes die, but more often they are injured. But it’s really cool how they describe how they fight, how they duck and back and charge.

Well, tell me about the next series you like, Harry Potter. Most people have heard of it. Why do you like it so much?

The author is really imaginative, it’s different from other books I’ve read. It’s funny and sad at times. When someone dies, it is emotional, a shock to the heart. Harry has to keep getting away from Voldemort who is trying to kill him. What I love about this series is that everything comes together like pieces of a puzzle in the end.

I read the series when I was younger with my parents, but now that I’m older, I understand a little more about the different parts of the story that I didn’t get back then. Anyway, everyone has already read this series, so I’m not going to explain anymore.

Once you start reading it, you won’t want to stop. Sometimes I used to read in the car on the way to school, when I saw the school I was really disappointed because I had to stop reading and put the book down. Then I read it again on the way home.

It is very difficult to explain because it is basically a normal child writing in a diary. But this kid is always trying to gain muscle and get stronger, but after he buys everything, all the equipment, he decides he doesn’t want to do it. He decides he doesn’t really care. He is very unfortunate because his three-year-old brother Manny is always doing things that really filter him out. He goes around and gets everything on the Christmas list, but Greg only gets black socks and a math book.

Because he is very selfish. It is very difficult to put on paper. He has some awkward moments where the pig starts talking to him and using his toothbrush and he gets really mad. He always works to get out of things. Like getting a six on the stomach with a black marker. When he went to the school prom and he had to dance he only took small steps.

Kids who love comedy will probably enjoy this series because it’s really funny and he does really stupid things.

I love it because it’s all Greek gods and it’s like they’re in high school. They are all children. His school is MOA, which stands for Mount Olympus Academy. These four main daughters, Persephone, Athena, Aphrodite and Artemis, were originally all friends. In the book I just read, they decided it wasn’t fair that only boys could participate in the Olympics, so they created their own all-girls Olympics. They called it the Hera Olympics, because Hera helped them make it (she was the wife of Zeus).

Yes, I love the way all these people experienced these adventures. We listened to a myth on the way to school (I enjoyed it but there was a lot of kissing) and we did something called 100 Greek Myths at school, which I read.

Finally we have the Laura Ingalls Wilder series, which are non-fiction books based on her experiences as a pioneer girl heading west in 19th century America.

I like it because I was born in America and it is based in America. I think the way she lives is really sweet. When they receive something they bought at a store, everyone gets excited because most of the time they have to prepare everything themselves – clothes, food, drinks, entertainment. In one book, Mary, Laura’s older sister, becomes blind, and from then on Laura has to bear the full weight of earning money, as she is the most talented worker among the children. She works hard as a teacher and seamstress to earn enough money to send her sister, who is learning to read Braille, to a school for the blind.

It gives a taste of what life was like before. I mean, personally, it’s really nice, to live like that, to enjoy nature, but I’m not sure I’d say the same if I actually did it.
