This is a fun idea for a Halloween door. First, I cut a large piece of wire and two small pieces of black paper and two large squares of white card to make the eyes. I secured it with tape. Then, using white wrapping paper, I cut strips long enough to cover the width of the door and continued to tap them to the bottom of the door. Finally, I put white ribbon on everything to make decorations. Have fun with these Halloween decorations!

Materials: White Wrapping Paper | White Card | Black wrapping paper Ribbon Bats: These bats make great and easy holiday decorations! Fold your black paper in half and draw a wing, the body side is on the cage. When you cut it, your bat will be on both sides. You can create a template to cut multiple bats in the same shape or cut different wings for a different look. Here we have drawn a small piece in the middle, to give the wings a 3-D look. Materials: Black Tissue Paper Monster Face: It’s easy and fun to have a Halloween front door with pets. This is where you can get really creative with hair, eyes and any spooky accessories like scars or bugs. For this Frankenstein monster, I used wrapping paper for the larger pieces like the hair, eyes, and mouth, and I used different colors of paper for the smaller pieces. Material: Black Wrapping Paper | Colored Paper Spider Webs: What could be better than a sparkly spider web for Halloween?! I cut my glitter tissue paper into different squares to make the spider web (tutorial coming soon!) Next, I cut two circles (1 smaller than the other) and 8 rows of legs for each spider, and the circles Adding in half made it 3-D. Bright red bows are also made from our wrapping paper. If you want to make the door stylish and similar to the doors of society houses, you can make a scary spider. Materials: Glossy Wrapping Paper | Black paper White Card Enter your choice: My boss’s front door needed some creativity so I wanted to use the whole image for his Halloween decorations. I followed my co-workers process with my hands on black wrapping paper to decorate the bottom of the door. Then I cut two large strips of kraft wrapping paper, tore the edges, and drew lines with my black pen to create the wood grain pattern. Next, I traced the skull and bones onto our white paper and our black cardstock for the ‘skull and crossbones’ part of this design. After that, I printed and cut out the letters on white paper. I used my craft wrapping paper as the base for the snake. I made a scale model using a circle cut and glitter paste paper, making sure to glue each circle that overlapped the others to get the right result. Finally, using our neon green paper, I made and cut out little snake pieces to put on the floor and in the trees. Hey everyone, this is Mary Martha Mama’s cat. October is here and let’s just say my boys really enjoy Halloween. This year I surprised them with easy DIY Halloween decorations on the door with vinyl with my cricket machine and today I am sharing them all with you.

In this tutorial I use Cricut Maker and Design Space files. If you have a silhouette cutting machine you will not be able to use these design files. You will need to create your own design files but you will follow the same process of using vinyl on the door to decorate.

Don’t have a silhouette or cricket cutting machine? don’t worry You can still create vinyl cutouts to decorate your door by tracing your designs onto the back of the vinyl and using scissors or a Zacto knife to cut them out.

Make sure you use removable vinyl for your door decorations so you don’t damage your door when you remove it after Halloween!

You can design your own DIY Halloween door decorations or you can use my project file on Cricut Design Space. When you open the file click on “Customize” and then you can change the size of the images and fonts or you can right click on the eye and hide any parts you don’t want to make.

When you are done editing, click the “OK” button. Then the screen will show you all the pictures placed on the mat and you can move the items if you want.

For words and some graphics, you may find it easier to use transfer tape to transfer your vinyl to the door. Cut a piece of transfer tape that is slightly larger than the piece of vinyl you are using.

Remove the backing paper from the transfer tape and place the sticky side on the front of your vinyl piece. Press with some pressure while smoothing. If you don’t have a scraper you may want to proceed with a scraper or even a credit card.

Turn your piece of vinyl so the backing is on top. Now gently peel back the vinyl so that the image or text sticks to the transfer tape.

If you start peeling off the shipping tape and removing the vinyl and get away with it, stop. Repeat smoothing and pressure to stay in place.
