One of the most important accessories that every car owner wants is a good, reliable phone charger to keep the battery percentage up while you’re running errands. And of course, wired chargers are a great way to charge your phone in the car and should offer the fastest possible charge with the right power adapter and cable (iPhones require a USB-C to Lightning cable for fast charging). However, you have to plug the cable into your phone every time you want to charge it and pull it out when you remove the phone from the car holder, which can be inconvenient while driving. With a wireless car charger, you can simply place your phone in the car holder – or
Wireless charging doesn’t mean there are no cables involved – you still need to connect the charger to your vehicle. But once it’s set up, just plug in your phone when you want to juice.

Keep reading to see my picks for the best wireless chargers for cars. I will update this list as new wireless car chargers come on the market.
The iOttie “autosense” wireless car charger with phone holder is one of the best out there. Although it is quite expensive, we have seen some good discounts recently. Auto Sense Automatic Clamping Qi Charging Car Phone Mount is available in dash mount version or CD version and vent clamp. (I tried the dash wireless charging holder.) This wireless car charger has a well-designed telescopic arm with a strong suction cup, and the wireless charging features are compatible with most phone cases. You get 7.5 watts of charging for iPhones and 10 watts for Android phones, which counts as fast wireless charging.
This Qi wireless charger comes with a USB cigarette lighter adapter with dual charging. My only complaint – and it’s a minor one – is that the included cable is Micro-USB and not USB Type-C. Once this Qi charger is plugged into the wireless car charger, you can pretty much forget about it, but if the cable accidentally gets pulled out (which it does), it might be easier to just plug in a USB-C cable to charge the phone, especially when you are back to driving.
Car And Driver Car Vent/dashboard Mount For Smartphones With Wireless Charging Black Cad 9905
If you don’t mind going with a no-name brand like ZeeHoo, their wireless car charger has most of the features you’d want in a phone charger, including automatic clipping and secure suction cups that attach to your car’s air vent, windshield, or dashboard . It has USB-C and fast charging of up to 15 watts for Android phones that support it (iPhones are limited to 7.5 watts of charging). This upgraded version has a sleeker design than the original (see below), and costs about $20 less than the iOttie above. However, this wireless charger does not come with a cigarette lighter adapter – only a USB-C cable.
This wireless car mount charger is one of the more popular generic wireless car chargers with an auto-sensing telescoping arm, and the original version I tried worked great overall, attaching securely to my car valve mount and charging my smartphone or device. which supports fast QI. I like that the wireless car charger came with a phone holder for my car’s air vent mount (if you just want an air vent mount, there is a special version of the air vent for $30).
Belkin makes a MagSafe car vent mount that costs about $40 as well as the BoostCharge Pro ($100, see below), which is Apple-certified and wirelessly charges iPhones at up to 15 watts. And while this model — the Belkin BoostCharge Magnetic Wireless Car Charger — only charges an iPhone at up to 10 watts, it’s more affordable at around $60. The USB-C cable is detachable (integrated into the BoostCharge Pro), and you get a 20- gauge cigarette lighter power adapter.watt. I personally like car power adapters with two USB-C ports so passengers can plug in the cables and also charge their phones, but you can always choose to add them later.

IOttie offers this MagSafe compatible wireless car charger with a car vent mount. It has strong magnets to keep your iPhone in place, and it also has an integrated USB-C cable and cigarette lighter power adapter so you’re ready to start charging out of the box. Note that the iPhone’s “fast” charging tops out at 7.5 watts.
Scosche’s MagicMount Pro Charge is designed for MagSafe-enabled iPhones, but can also be used with Android devices if you attach the included MagicPlate to the back of your phone or case (it’s a metal plate that attaches to a magnetic mount).
You have the option of purchasing mounts in a variety of styles, including vented and dashboard versions, as well as telescoping arm versions. Choitech Mobile Stand, Car Holder With Wireless Charging And 10 Watt Power, With Air Conditioner Hole
The Belkin BoostCharge ProWireless CarChargerwithMagSafe is one of the few officially Apple-certified MagSafe wireless car chargers, meaning it can charge iPhones at the highest wireless charging speed of 15 watts (most wireless car chargers only charge iPhones up to 7.5 watts) . watts). The mount rotates so you can view your phone in landscape or portrait mode, and a 20-watt car power adapter is included.
It’s a vent mount and it stays in place pretty well and has strong magnets. That said, it does have some heft to it, and I removed it from the car’s vent when I hit a bump in the road (not a minor bump, but a bigger one). It is also expensive. But if you really want fast 15-watt charging for your MagSafe-enabled iPhone, this is the wireless charger to get.
