If you don’t like your notebook, you will never be motivated to use it. I did a lot of research on the book. One of the hardest things for me is deciding whether I want to write lines, graph paper, or simple pages in a notebook. This Leuchtturm 1917 point notebook was fantastic. Is true! The pages are dotted and also numbered. If you need help measuring an area or drawing a straight line, you can focus on the points. The dots are not offensive to the eyes. Using a bullet journal doesn’t make me wish I had a plain journal or a paper journal, so I think that’s a big win. This was one of my excuses for letting go of many magazines in the past.
There’s a pocket on the back where I keep my address labels and stamps so I can write letters and postal bills if I’m traveling (and have my bag with me). It measures 5.75 x 8.25 inches so it fits in my purse.

In my first bullet journal, I used masking tape to separate the sections. It worked, but the spacers weren’t as tight as I would have liked. I bought some eyelash curlers and I love them. They are very durable and make entering the current month much easier thanks to them.

It’s important to use writing utensils you don’t hate. If you’re using an old pen you took off your banker’s desk, you probably won’t enjoy the process of using your bullet journal. Instead, choose a pen or set of colored pens that you’re comfortable with; this will make it easier for you to use the bullet journal more regularly, which is essential as you develop the habit.
