The New Yorker: Between The Covers
In each episode of the seven-part series, a panel of four celebrity guests will bring a book of their choice and discuss selections from newly published books and the Big Forest Reading List. Big Jubilee Reading is a ‘Reading for Pleasure’ campaign run by BBC Arts and The Reading Agency, which coincides with Her Majesty the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and celebrates great reading from across the Commonwealth.
Selected by an expert panel of librarians, booksellers and literary experts, the 70 books include ten books from each decade of Her Majesty the Queen’s 70-year reign. From this list, Amanda Ross and her production team chose one from each decade; We offer a wonderful selection of beautiful and inspiring novels by authors from many Commonwealth countries.
