Brings Me The Horizon – Bring Me the Horizon (often abbreviated as BMTH) is a British rock band formed in Sheffield in 2004. The group consists of lead singer Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are signed to RCA Records worldwide and Columbia Records in the United States only.
The band released their debut album Count Your Blessings in 2006. When it was released, the album’s doomsday sound was obvious, and they were depressing. Their name is paraphrased from a line of dialogue by Captain Jack Sparrow in the 2003 film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, where Captain Jack Sparrow says: “Now , give me that horizon.”
In the months following their formation, Bring Me the Horizon produced a demo album titled Bedroom Sessions. They followed this up by releasing their debut EP, This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For, in September 2004 through local UK label Thirty Days of Night Records.
It was recorded at Pristine Studios in Nottingham over two weeks, with drums and bass guitar laid down in the first week, and guitar and vocals completed a week later.

Like other early tours, they got this slot by trying to vue promoters. Kean and Oliver’s mother, Carol Sykes, were the band’s de facto managers at this time, a role they held until 2008.
For The Red Chord’s support, Kean emailed the promoters and pretended that they were picking all the dates, and that they should only play their local show. The band released their debut album Count Your Blessings in October 2006 in the United Kingdom and in August 2007 in the United States. Bring Me the Horizon was poorly received by fans of Killswitch gage on tour, with concert goers regularly throwing bottles at the band before they started playing their set.
Bring Me the Horizon recorded their second studio album, Suicide Season, in Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström. He was not happy with their first album and was initially absent from the recording sessions if he did not have to be there. Later, Nordström heard the new sound they were trying out during a recording session and played a big part in the album.
