Candy Canes Christmas Tree – Candy Cane Themed Christmas Tree. Celebrate Christmas with a red and white tree filled with candy cane projects, bells and handmade wreaths.
I love doing a themed tree every year! I love the challenge of creating theme-based projects! I’ll list some of the articles I’ve done at the end of this post if you want to check them out! This year I came up with the “candy cane” theme. I love Scandinavian decor and red and white is so classic for the holidays!

Candy Cane Christmas Tree Is Easy Table Decoration
I brought a red and white “Candy Cane” theme to our tree with decorations, fabric covered candy canes, handmade wreaths and traditional decorations. I will share my thoughts below.
I found these adorable straw shaped wreath forms at my Dollar Tree. I wrapped different pieces of fabric around each candy cane and hung them on the tree. How the big candies highlight the candy cane theme!
I love football crowns. The design is very nice. I got this red and white bauble wreath and I love the baubles. Red and white are suitable for sugarcane. I also used a red and white ball and a larger wreath on the tree.

Another thing I always add to my themed trees is ribbon! I love ribbon and ribbon is perfect for filling any space on your tree. This is especially helpful if you use homemade tea. The ribbon will soften your artificial tree and tie your decorations and theme together.
I used several bells on our tree. Bells look very Scandinavian to me. I like the idea of Christmas bells. The metal on the bells gives the tree a different texture and shine to the metal.
These giant wooden sticks are my favorite thing about the tree. They have the perfect whimsical feel. Everyone has a different holiday saying in it. I just tied them to the branches and love how they look on our cane.
Candy Cane Christmas Tree: A Guide To The Holiday Theme
The red and white stocking crown is probably the deciding factor as to why I chose the sugarcane theme this year. Aren’t they just the cutest?? Also, I thought it would be so much fun to take some yarn, cut the socks and hang them on a board, filled with food, like an adventure calendar? I think I will do that project next!!
The kids and I made THREE simple baking soda decorations and painted them with snow and Scandinavian flowers. It’s a fun activity for kids!
After hanging everything on our cane, I filled in any empty decorations. I love the painted path and the glass ornaments that reflect the light from the tree. It’s magic!

I used the wicker tree to cover the tree seat. I don’t like tree skirts because they always look messy and I think my OCD likes everything to be straight.
I always like to add some decorations to the bottom of the tree. I put a big sled at the base, covered with a plaid cloth. I added a red and white pillow on top of the boot with colorful accents like candy canes! I also added some large sleigh bells to the outside of the sleigh. I also packed some gifts. We live in a fancy house built in the 1930s and while there are many things I love about living in a tiny house (cozy, easy to clean, and great for babysitting any number of kids), it shares 1300 square feet with four others. people are not a problem. That’s why I jumped at the chance to participate in Treetopia’s Christmas In Small Spaces blog hop with a sponsored post. After years of squeezing an oversized tree into our living room, there has to be a better space-saving option!
Since we are short on space but in the mood for the holidays, I decided to try the Christmas Tree in your corner. I had heard about the corner trees before but actually thought they were pretty cool so it didn’t cross my mind as a space saving option. Oh, how bad I was! I absolutely love the look of this tree and it takes up a quarter of the space? perfection My husband, who was more willing to try, fully agrees that it takes time to realize that the tree in the corner is not full of size.

You can see in the picture below that this tree fits perfectly in the corner of our small dining room. Setting up was as easy as any artificial Christmas tree and having the lights already attached meant I could move on to the fun part…decorating!
Since this tree was going into our dining room, I thought it would be fun to turn the Candy Cane into an edible item. It just looks like the red and white of a green tree that screams Christmas, doesn’t it? I actually had a lot of embellishments stashed away, so I had to run to the craft store to find some pieces like the curling iron and coordinating polka dots. Shhh, the red XL ornaments are actually from the dollar store!
I’m still adding some accessories to the rest of the room, but luckily I already had some things in my Christmas collection that worked. Perfect with the cane theme. Some decorations in a medicine jar, my favorite vintage tablecloth, and a great big “Joy” banner? Not a bad start to the season!

I know this is a sponsored post, but I couldn’t be more honest about how much I love this tree! We couldn’t put a whole tree in this corner and still walk across the room to our play area. The In Your Corner Christmas tree is absolutely perfect for any small space! Is it really crazy that I’m thinking of putting up two Christmas trees in our little house? One for me to decorate and one for the kids? Check back in a few weeks to see if I’m crazy!

Every September I start thinking about the colors and themes we should choose for our Christmas trees! Although I loved and loved decorating our Christmas trees with the colors “Gold and White” last year, I didn’t want to repeat the same decorations. I LOVE pink Christmas trees, but since I decorated our Christmas tree pink in 2019, I wasn’t ready to go back to “pink trees” again.
I was debating between a candy cane theme and two other things… By chance one day on Instagram, I came across the cutest candy cane decorations on display in the living room of some amazing looks in London, England! I have made a final decision and I want to create delicious Christmas candy trees!
I think candy cane decorations are a Christmas staple that help create a beautiful and cozy atmosphere in your home. They look so bright and festive and give Christmas a chic twist! That’s why I decided to mix it up this year and theme both of my trees around the red and white holiday colors!
