Ceu For Mental Health Professionals – I am dedicated to providing evidence-based continuing education courses for sports medicine professionals, mental health professionals, administrators and coaches. Most of the continuing education courses I offer are focused on athlete mental health, sports performance and improving the services offered to athletes. I also provide continuing education courses related to ethics and professional welfare.
The in-person and online continuing education courses are sponsored by my employer Assessment and Therapy Associates of Grand Forks, PLLC (ATAGF) and my own business, Haugen Performance Consulting, PLLC (HPC). ATAGF is approved by several organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers, to sponsor continuing education events. This supervision workshop focuses on trainee well-being in CSP and MPC, emotional competence, ethical and sporting ecosystem factors for supervisors/mentors to consider, and an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model of supervision/mentoring. This intermediate-level course expands on our popular Ethical Clairvoyance workshop by addressing the ways in which social identity and culture apply to ethical decision-making. With the value of hindsight, we practice strategies that help professionals stay ethically aware of practice protocols. Participants also receive a workbook to help them develop an ethical action plan.
This workshop helps supervisors learn to target trainee well-being in the supervisory relationship while adhering to ethical standards. Supervision models will be discussed from two different theoretical perspectives: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The instructors have a combined over 30 years of supervision experience.
This intermediate-level workshop focuses on the ethical foundations for real conversations and establishing boundaries for professional wellness to help navigate psychological uncertainty. Attendees learn a burnout prevention model and develop a self-care action plan they can use for their own well-being.
Mental Health Professionals
This intermediate-level workshop actively involved participants in researching variables related to professional ethics, law and jurisprudence. A positive model of ethical decision-making was presented, and participants identified ways in which this model could be used for their own ethical decisions. Attendees also consider the personal variables that contribute to ethical decision making. Radiant Sunshine, #1403, is approved to offer continuing education in social work through the Association of Social Work Boards (ASUB) Continuing Education (ACE) approved program. Organisations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course can be accepted for continuing education credit. Radiant Sunshine retains responsibility for this course. ACE Provider Approval Period: 28.2.2023 to 28.2.2026
