Did Jesus Born On 25th December – Probably the first record of Jesus being born on December 25 comes from the 3rd century, when Hippolytus of Rome wrote: “The first coming of our Lord in the flesh, when he was born in Bethlehem, was on Wednesday the 25th.” (Commentary on Daniel, tr. by Schmidt, T. C., 2010, Book 4, 23.3).The earliest record of some kind of celebration on that day is in the Philokian calendar, which represents Roman practice, from 336.
1) December 25 is nine months after March 25, which historian Sextus Julius Africanus and early church father Tertullian calculated as the date of Easter on which Jesus was conceived (see Tertullian Adversus Judaeos, ch. VIII). This calculation was based on the tradition that Jesus was arrested and died on the same calendar day.
Did Jesus Born On 25th December
2) According to another tradition, March 25 was the anniversary of the creation of the world. Jesus’ conception on that day would have led to his birth on December 25th.
Was Jesus Born On Dec. 25?
3) December 25 fell on a pagan holiday celebrating the winter solstice. The Church thus offered people a Christian alternative to pagan holidays and eventually re-evaluated many of their symbols and actions in ways acceptable to Christian faith and practice.
December 25 is increasingly accepted as the date of Jesus’ birth. However, some claim that the birth took place at a different time, for example, in the fall. Proponents of this theory argue that Judean winters were too cold for shepherds to watch their flocks at night. However, history proves otherwise, and we have historical evidence that the lambs without blemish for the Temple sacrifice were indeed reared in the fields near Bethlehem during the winter months. With that said, it is impossible to prove whether or not Jesus was born on December 25th. And in the end it doesn’t matter.
The truth is that we simply do not know the exact date of our Savior’s birth. Actually, we don’t even know for sure in which year he was born. Scientists believe it was sometime between 6 B.C. and 4 BC One thing is clear: if God felt it was important for us to know the exact date of the Savior’s birth, he would certainly have told us in his Word. The Gospel according to Luke gives very specific details about the event, even what the child was wearing – “a swaddling cloth” – and where he slept – “in the manger” (Luke 2:12). These details are important because they speak of His nature and character, mild and humble. But the exact date of His birth is absolutely irrelevant, so perhaps God chose not to mention it.
Yeshua’s Birth Conception John The Baptist Conception Of Jesus
The fact is that he was born, came into the world to atone for our sins, rose to eternal life and lives today. This is what we should celebrate, as the Old Testament tells us in verses like Zechariah 2:10: “Shout and rejoice, daughter of Zion. For I will come and dwell among you, says the Lord.” In addition, the angel who announced the birth to the shepherds brought “great glad tidings that will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10). There is certainly a reason to celebrate every day, not just once. per year. Most people, if not all, automatically think of December 25th as the day Jesus was born. However, there is plenty of evidence from the Bible to contradict this hypothesis. If Jesus was not born on December 25th, as most religious groups believe, whose birthday we have
A quick look into the history of Christmas reveals its pagan origins. In fact, the earliest record of the origin of Christmas can be traced back to 200 BC. Some historical records even confirm that Christmas was celebrated at least 2000 years before the actual birth of Jesus.
The pagan history of Christmas began with the Greeks celebrating the holiday in honor of Bacchus. Then the Romans also have their own festival which is held in honor of Saturnalia. Both festivals are known for revelry, nightly orgies, chaos, riots and even death.
How Long Does Christmas Actually Last?
Most of the modern practices associated with Christmas today have nothing to do with the birth of Jesus. Rather, these customs come from pagan customs – customs that God strongly opposes.
. If you are wondering whose birthday this world celebrates on December 25th, now you know the answer!
The Roman emperor Aurelian established this holiday in honor of the sun god on December 25! Yes, you read that right. The sad thing is that those who were supposed to be “Christians” took this ancient pagan holiday and associated it with the birth of Jesus. Modern Christianity unknowingly glorifies an ancient pagan cult and thought it was good for their faith.
When Was Jesus Really Born? Not Dec. 25
When we read the history of the early New Testament church—the true Church that Jesus built—we never see a hint that they celebrated the birth of Christ. We never see in the Bible that the birth of Jesus is celebrated. It was only 300 years after Jesus’ death that the false church ordered his celebration.
If celebrating the birth of Jesus is SO important, why don’t we see the exact date of Christ’s birth in the Bible? Why don’t we see a command to celebrate?
The critical question to ask now is, does Christmas really honor God or Jesus? Obviously, the answer is NO. God gave the Israelites, and therefore also us, these words:
Merry Christmas 2022: Why Is Christmas Celebrated On The 25th Of December?
“When the Lord your God destroys the nations before you, where you go to possess them, you will inherit them and live in their land. Take care not to get behind them, because they are destroyed before you. AND THAT YOU DO NOT ASK ABOUT THEIR GODS, ALSO, HOW THESE NATIONS SERVED THEIR GODS? and so I will do the same. You shall not do this to the Lord your God, for they have made every abomination to the Lord, which he hates, to be their gods. for even their sons and their daughters were burned in the fire for their gods. Whatever I command you, be careful, do not add to it or take away from it” (Deuteronomy 12:29-32).
God does not want us to see pagans worshiping their gods and adopting their customs. If we are to truly honor God, it should be on His terms, not ours. It would be foolish to say “I love you God” and not do what it says.
God wants us to worship Him in “truth and spirit” (John 4:24). This is the true way of worshiping God. Ask yourself, “Is Christmas really the birth of Christ?” If you answer this question honestly, then you will realize that IT IS NOT TRUE. Therefore, worshiping God or Jesus during Christmas is futile. Read the Bible. Look for yourself. God wants you to celebrate His appointed feasts and not this abominable pagan worship.
