Do You Like Cheese – I love food. I like to talk about it, read about it, see it through books or shows, prepare it, and eat it. So I was very impressed with the Barnes and Noble exhibit that featured the David Sax exhibit
Are you crazy about cupcakes and why not fondue? (hint: I love a good fondue. Who doesn’t love a meal where bread and fruit are dipped into melted cheese? Just sayin’)
Do You Like Cheese
David Sax expertly explains food trends and how they play out in culture, agriculture, economics and politics. He discussed everything from home effects
What Is Cheese? Health Benefits, Risks, Types, Top Sellers, More
On cupcakes, the new apple trend trying to emerge from Canada, the growing China Black rice strain in agriculture, and the food truck wars in Washington, D.C. And yes, it explains why fondue isn’t “a thing anymore” (spoiler: the AIDS crisis is part of it). Your writing is expressive, informative and insightful. The book is a piece of journalism, and I eat it up (almost literally, the prose is ** pretty tasty). In fact, I like it so much that my students and I will read an essay or two from this book this semester. This is a relevant book for both academic and non-academic, as there is much to think about and take in.
I know more about food trends, and how different social or economic factors play into what we buy and what we eat. I’m also (of course) sad that fondue doesn’t seem to be a thing in this country (sorry about the punk my friend C was with you when he made a batch of fondue that didn’t spread as it should). But then again, I can always share my love affair with cheese with THIS lovely lady:
How do you store cheese, how do you fry cheese, what do cheese curds taste like, how do you make cheese, how do you freeze cheese, how do you grate cheese, do ants like cheese or sugar better, how do you melt cheese, why do my feet smell like cheese, so do you like cheese, how do you smoke cheese, why do feet smell like cheese
