This book is by no means short, it is complex, comprehensive, keeps you informed, filled with so much detail! The level of detail is crucial, you get to know so much about the mindset of the main characters, even the secondary characters are so well developed and appear in so many scenes, you get to know them really well. Since the story is about an Italian family, you get all the cousins, aunts and of course the grandmother, and by the end of the book you bond with the couple. Both the hero and the heroine are so cute. At first she seems too shy, too much a victim of her circumstances, and he too cruel, but as the story goes, she’s brave and strong, he’s charming and such a good man, and when they come together, their deep love, caring and protecting each other shines beautifully on the pages. There are moments of intimacy and deep emotion that are so beautifully written, so sharp, vivid and tangible that it’s truly beautiful! I found this book so convoluted that the plot takes unexpected directions and makes for a compelling read. It’s a whole world built here and the story pulls you so deep into it. There is also something rare here, which is the presence of a love story other than the love story of the main characters. Those glimpses of chemistry and steamy scenes are just like what I’m projecting, and they made me appreciate this book even more. Can’t wait to read Knox and Sylvia’s story! The premises are entertaining and exciting; a slowly developing romance is passionate; the characters are dynamic, lively and lively. The world building (including family history) and character building are detailed and extensive (secrets are revealed) as a significant amount of time is devoted to the couple – most of the action and conflict occurs in the last third of the book. Obsessed with this world. 100% Anna Rae’s best work ever. The setting and characters of this book, in my opinion, are the best she has written. I couldn’t put this book down. I like that it’s not a super heavy mob. There is a great love story between Luke and MJ and the other characters. much of this book. The details in this book are what I love about reading, Anna packed absolutely everything I love about reading Mafia into this book. It’s super long, the development is great.
