Footprints in the sand describes our true relationship with Jesus. In the hardest moments of our lives, all we’ll see is a pair of footprints… your footprints leading us on.
Footprints Of God God Is Always With You
“Rest, O my soul, in God alone; My hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Always trust him, O men; pour out your heart before him, for God is our refuge. Selá… One thing God said, two things I heard: that you, O God, are strong, and that you, O Lord, are loving.” (Psalm 62:5-8, 11-12)
Lamb Of God
She dreamed that she was going through the hardest test in her life. It felt like a large pointed dagger was spinning in her heart. As the darkest hour of her trial approached, those closest to her would not come to her aid. They even walked away from her, not knowing what to do or say in the face of so much suffering.
Later that night, the last of her closest worshipers walked away from her. It was as if another dagger pierced her heart, and she was overcome with pain to the point of death. With the deepest pain, she lashed out at this person in anger, but was immediately cut to the heart by what he had done.
Suddenly, Jesus stood between her and the other person. She could no longer attack her closest human friend because the Lord was in the way. He spoke directly to the woman: “Let me be the one who loves you. Let me be your solid rock. Let me be the one to stand by you and get you through this trial.
He Was Always There Beside You
The Lord was very kind and loving, but also very firm in presenting himself as a friend, rock and support. She was stunned and fell silent before him, but exhausted from grief, she soon fell asleep.
Early the next morning, while it was still dark, she went for a long walk on the beach. She wanted to be alone in the dark, but when dawn broke and the sun rose, she saw Jesus walking beside her.
She didn’t say anything because not only was it too painful to say, but also because she was too ashamed of her behavior the night before.

Her simple statement opened her heart to him, for up to this point she had sought
Human comforter who could sympathize with her and help her endure the unbearable hurt and pain she was carrying…
“Contempt broke my heart and left me helpless; I looked for compassion, but there was none; comforters, but I did not find” (Psalm 69:20).

That statement crumbled all the hardness in his heart, for suddenly “… God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the only one who is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light …” ( 1 Timothy 6:15) has revealed himself to you as the one who “…was made like his brothers in all things, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest…” (Hebrews 2:12).
She began to see how much Jesus, despite being Almighty God, went through the fullness of human experience. Because Jesus, according to his human nature, was made like us, he suffered like the rest of humanity and therefore could
Understand exactly what she was going through. “He was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and familiar with suffering. Like the one from whom men hide their face, he was despised, and we did not value him” (Isaiah 53:3).

Jesus said to him, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is light and my burden is light” [Matthew 11:28-30].
And she said, “Blessed be the Lord God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” [Psalm 68:19].
She was comforted for a brief moment, but then she remembered the pain of everyone else who had hurt her and turned away from her in her greatest need. Out of that pain, she told God, “I know you care – but no one else…”
Let Us Know The Love Of God
The Lord replied, “You expect too much from people. But Jesus did not trust them because he knew all men [John 2:24]. Many men claim to have unfailing love, but who can find a faithful man? [Proverbs 20:6].”
As the Lord spoke these Scriptures to her, He opened her eyes to see the gap between human nature and God’s perfect and loving nature. Yes, she realized, she expected too much from men, trusting them to be what only God could be for her.
When she started to think about it, her own human nature was suddenly laid bare before her very eyes. She was humbled by how far she was falling behind

Loving people as Jesus loved her. She was saddened by her closest friend’s disgraceful treatment the night before and realized that she was no different from everyone else she had just accused of failing and hurting her.
As she and the Lord continued to walk along the beach together, she also recognized that he had experienced the same heartbreak, sadness and abandonment that she had been feeling.
She remembered how Jesus was tormented in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46), how he suffered excruciating pain (Isaiah 52:13-53:12), how he was betrayed to death by a close friend (Matthew 26 :47-50), and how his once-faithful disciples who supported him in his former trials (Luke 22:28) abandoned him in his hardest trial (Mark 14:50), and how one of his closest friends left him denied not once, but three times (Mark 14:66-72) in his darkest hour.
Ten Thousand Small Trials: How God Fits Us For Glory
Finally, she recalled that the night before His crucifixion, Jesus said to His disciples, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when you will be scattered, each to his home. You will leave me alone. However, I am not alone, because my Father is with me.” (John 16:32)
She began to see that Jesus, like her, had been totally abandoned by everyone, including all of her closest friends. Her father was her unshakable rock during her deepest torments and severest trials.
The woman realized that he would now come to her as the same solid rock of unfailing love and undying faithfulness. He wanted her to impose herself on him like this rock, because he said to her, “Is there any god besides me? No, there is no other skirt; I know no one” (Isaiah 44:8).

The woman knew that she could no longer run to men for solace, as they would just abandon her. She realized that she had to run to God.
Then the woman put all her trust in Jesus and was greatly comforted and said to him: “How priceless is your tireless love! In the shadow of your wings, highs and lows find refuge among men ′′ (Psalm 36:7).
She told him, “Lord, you alone are my rock. I trust you completely and I trust your undying love for me…but what about my past? I know you are here with me now and that’s why I’m strong , but what about the dark times in my past, when I felt you left me? I ached for you, but I felt you left me to be slaughtered. I couldn’t find you or your love anywhere during those times, so how do I know that won’t you be an unfaithful rock who is sometimes there to love and comfort and support me and sometimes not? Lord, this is why it took me so long to finally rely on you in this trial. time I need you.”
Give Your Worries To God Worry Stones
The Lord said to her, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? distress, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we count ourselves as sheep destined for the slaughter”. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord [ Romans 8:35-39].”
She said to the Lord, “I know this Scripture,
