The name you use on social media is Crackhead Barney and Friends, is it related to the children’s TV show? How did you achieve this and why?

A few years ago, I dressed up in a Barney costume like a children’s show and chased tourists and strangers down the street in New York. But the idiots at Amazon missed the moment with one eye, stupid idiots sent it to me with one eye! And when I finished the show and started walking away, people would say, “That’s not Barney – that’s Crackhead Barney!” I think they called me Barney because I’m skinnier than the real Barney, or maybe because I’m black. If I were a white woman, would they still call me a lark? I’ll never know. If I were white, they’d call me Queen Barney.

Anyway, I’ve had that name for years and when I started working with BeHappyForOnce, who is our producer, our director, our body, basically the person who tells me what to do, he thought it would be fun to do together. my artist. named after the children’s TV show. But the funny thing is, we called it Crackhead Barney and Friends, but my only real friend on the show is New York Pig – we don’t need any more friends. What you are doing is the definition of satire. Are the situations you get into and what you say written down at all?

Nothing I do in my life is scripted and never has been. I just go out there and whatever happens. If I get killed or shot or stabbed or whatever happens, that’s it – and that’s what I’m trying to emphasize with NY Pig and BeHappyForOnce, anything can happen. We just see how far we can go, explosive screams or crazy reactions or sometimes people even get violent. What I do draws a lot from Dada, which provides an element of eerie randomness in this incredibly random state of our country.

So the most dangerous thing in my mind is that NY Pig, BeHappy and I went to a Trump rally in Staten Island, New York before the election. This was before we started Crackhead Barney and Friends and BeHappy and I were working together on a documentary about ME, the star! We were the only non-Trump supporters and arrived very late, so I was alone in the crowd, carrying a baby carriage with a black doll wearing a Trump mask, bikini and an American flag in her pocket. I ran. , and crawled around the floor in the crowd. I just remember looking up and immediately I was surrounded by Trump people and they were trying to hit me, trample me, kill me.

The last thing I remember was a foot moving toward my face, followed by white kids yelling, “Wow! Die! Lai! and then I was in handcuffs. I couldn’t see through Trump’s mask, but they were leading me through the crowd, chest out of my shirt outside and everyone was yelling and cheering me on the way out.

They put me in the car and took my mask off and I just saw Trump people around NY Pig and BeHappy and some other friends of ours and I don’t know how they got out. But then the police took me to the psychiatric ward of a nearby hospital and told me that I was mentally ill and I tried to show my naked body to the children, but they exposed me. I saw one of them throw my black baby in the trash and when my team picked me up we went back to get it.

Well, when we choose people, we choose the absolute antithesis of who I am. That’s why I go to a MAGA event in DC or whatever, because I want to talk to the clowns and the losers, the biggest right-wing Christian demons, and hear their bullshit.
