We recently threw a spooky and fun Halloween birthday party for my Halloween loving son’s 7th birthday and we had a blast! Not only did everything work out perfectly, but all our guests had a great time at this festive party!

When asked what theme he would like for his Halloween party, the boy wanted all kinds of Halloween characters, including ghosts, bats, spiders, witches, etc. So for this party we went with a classic Halloween look of black and orange. To enhance and “modernize” the look, we added blush and white to give it a soft, pretty feel that worked really well with the kids. On a curved wooden background painted black and blush, we added a cloud of black, orange, white and blush balloons and decorated the background with these pre-cut orange paper bats to create a spooky Halloween scene.
Best Halloween Party Decoration Ideas For 2022
We’re all screaming for…Halloween and ice cream! We rented this amazing popsicle cart from Lisa @lavieposh.bylisamaciel and decorated it with a set of awesome Halloween banners. These honeycomb spiders were also hung from an umbrella for added creepiness. And the best part is that the children were thrilled when Mr. Skelly served ice cream and popsicles!
A long picnic table was set up on the lawn for the children to enjoy treats and cakes. We chose a classic monotone black and white theme for the table. For plates, these night sky scallop plates were topped with these fun little Boo plates and ghost shaped plates. To add a pop of orange, we used these adorable pumpkin napkins and fringed vintage Halloween party mugs featuring various Halloween characters including a witch, black cat, skull, and pumpkin. This beautiful black and white all cream flatware set with a black striped table runner creates a spooky yet modern Halloween tablescape!
I created a floral centerpiece with some Halloween themed flowers that I got from the local dollar store and placed in a black pumpkin bucket. Around it we added some spooky skulls, flaming candles and black/white pumpkins as table decorations to match the dinnerware.

One of the highlights of this party was definitely this fa-boo-lous ombre ghost cake from @from.flour. Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted really delicious!
We also had these adorable Halloween sugar cookies from @saysugarcustomcookies that brought the Halloween theme to life! We loved the color combinations and how they went so well with the Halloween tableware. Totally creepy!
Last but not least, a Halloween themed party wouldn’t be complete without Halloween candy! I made a Halloween candy board with this awesome vintage font bamboo Boo tray and filled it with Halloween themed candies and goodies including these fun skeleton, black cat and spider web marshmallow shakers and these cute Ghoulishly Marshmallows. . Sweets. It was a huge hit with all the little ghouls and goblins at the party!

I also made a fun sausage board for adults with a slightly articulated skeleton inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest. how funny is that
We made a 12 foot balloon garland with black, orange, blush and white balloons and decorated the trampoline with it. We added this awesome black star foil balloon as a finishing touch to the balloon pearl. How cool was that?
Next to the trampoline, we decorated one side of the blanket with spider webs and added these creepy yet adorable spider balloons. Together they made a great backdrop for some fun Halloween photos!
Halloween Party Ideas: Crafts, Favors, Games & Treats
We put up a few fun Halloween games like a bowling alley, a haunted Halloween bowling alley on a concrete area with Halloween inflatables. Along with the games, we covered the table with party favors in these cool and creepy skull bags and set up a Halloween temporary tattoo parlor. This set of Halloween Glow Temporary Tattoo Sheets was simply amazing! They glow in the dark and also have silver holographic foil details. The adults Evan who attended the party wanted to get their hands on them too!
We had this giant Halloween honeycomb garland hanging next to the piñata. With stars, cobwebs, spiders, wheels, crescent moons and honeycomb balls, it was a standout decoration and set a spooky tone for pinata time!
My son had a great time celebrating his big day with his best friends at this spooky party. And for me, I was so happy to make another wonderful memory with my friends and family in such a fun and special setting.
