This homemade glass cleaner recipe is a simple, easy-to-make solution that uses everyday ingredients from around your home and works effectively. All you need is:
Simply combine all the ingredients in an empty spray bottle and shake your mixture and it’s ready to go! An old glass bottle is great too, we have a 1 liter glass apple cider bottle, you just need to get a spray top to fit it. We recommend using Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil, but our Lemon Myrtle can also be used, it has similar properties and a different scent. (Tip – recycled bottles don’t last long as eucalyptus oil dissolves some plastic parts in the pump. We’ve found it best to buy a pump from our local Jasol agent, they last forever)
Stops Streaking: Everyone hates those pesky streaks that are usually left behind after washing your windows. Using eucalyptus oil in your cleaning mixture will help prevent those pesky streak marks on your windows.

Stop fogging up the mirror: There is nothing more annoying than looking in the mirror and everything is foggy! Wiping down your mirrors with eucalyptus oil will help prevent mirrors from fogging up.
Helps prevent bacteria: This is useful when you have dirty and dirty sliding glass doors. Children tend to put their hands and mouth over the glass when opening sliding doors, so eucalyptus oil is good for stopping the spread of bacteria.
The detergent in this cleaner removes detergent residue and this can be left when you have cleaned with your natural cleaner. The cleaner has a strong smell but it disappears completely when it dries. We use old newspapers to wipe down the area we are cleaning, but you can use a microfiber cloth or old t-shirts that work well.
