How To Find A Sookie Stackhouse Halloween Costume This Year
There are many versions of Jessica for cosplay, but I went with her Merlotta waitress outfit because it’s simple and recognizable.

Jessica’s makeup is different, but most of her look is natural – I spoke to Bridget Ellis (lead makeup artist on True Blood) and she said Deborah Ann Wall used tinted moisturizer and lip color.
For my look, I used a light/medium coverage foundation, a bit of peachy blush, elastic lashes and sheer lipstick. All product details are given below. (I also did Jessica-inspired makeup that was similar.)

I personally love Halloween and I love dressing up in costumes. I always spend a lot of time thinking about the idea and try not to go to the store to buy a prepackaged suit. The second best part of Halloween is definitely the candy. I need to find some friends to go trick-or-treating and steal some Reese’s Cups and Milkyway bars. As a kid, I always loved putting all the Reese’s in the freezer and keeping them for months after Halloween! If it’s acceptable for someone in their twenties, I’d still cheat… Guess I’ll have to wait until I label someone’s kid a cheater 🙂 Take a look at some of my past outfits!

Last year, Scott was the zombie sister of The Walking Dead’s Rick and Me. It was a lot of fun to go out with makeup. Last year we were Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat. This was one of my favorite costumes ever!

Coolest Homemade True Blood Costumes
For the past two nights, Scott and I have been working on our pumpkins. This is my first time using patterns and stencils, not just trying to make something by hand. I always carve a pumpkin every year during Halloween week – it’s a tradition! We bought so many pumpkins that we still have a few things to put together, but here’s a little pumpkin:
I didn’t have time to make as many Halloween treats as I wanted, but I saw this recipe online and made these little “bones” for dessert last night. They are a super easy and festive recipe, all you need is marshmallows, pretzel sticks and white chocolate chips. Attaching the marshmallows to the pretzel took a little longer than I expected, but I was so happy that they turned out as expected! Props to my Scott for leading this little project!
After work I go for a quick run and do 5 minutes of abs, then dinner, put on a suit and open a pumpkin beer!
