There are some amazing tutorials for diaper cakes…but what if you want something smaller that can be used as a centerpiece for every baby shower table? Since it’s spring and I’m seeing adorable packages everywhere… I decided to make a diaper bouquet in a shape. This is a simple centerpiece idea that you can create in any color! The best part is that the hubs are useful for the new mom…because after a shower, they can use all the diapers in each bucket!
How To Make A Diaper Bouquet Centerpiece
First you need to buy diapers! You definitely can’t create a diaper bouquet without them, LOL! I love shopping for diapers at Sam’s Club because I get the best deal and save time by buying in bulk! Did you know that Sam’s Club members save $10 on Huggies Snug & Dry diapers? This makes for a huge box at an incredible price! For this project I purchased the Huggies Snug & Dry size 5 because the quality of the diapers is incredible and the price is perfect! I wanted to use a larger diaper size for a new mom because they usually get a lot of small sizes…but eventually they will need larger sizes!
How To Diy Baby Sock Flowers
Now you will use the elastic to tie the diaper roll. I put the elastic closer to the bottom so it’s not visible when it’s in the diaper bag. You can use any clean rubber bands…I have a lot of hair bands at home with 3 girls at home lol…so I used them for mine!
After making the diaper flowers, you will take your sticks and place one in each diaper flower. I had some lollipop sticks at home so I used them. You can also use these thin wooden skewers if you prefer.
The size of your bucket will help you decide how many diaper flowers you want to make for your bouquet. I found 10-12 diapers to be enough for my trees.
Diy Baby Shower Flower Arrangements That Anyone Can Make
Next, you want to take tissue paper in a color that matches your baby shower and line your bucket with it. You can use more than one sheet of tissue paper…it just depends on how you want it to look! Tulle or fabric will work too… Be as creative as you want!
To keep your diaper flowers safe, you need to put some kind of foam insert in the bucket. Any type of Styrofoam will work… most craft stores have a huge selection of all shapes and sizes! Place the Styrofoam in the bucket on top of the paper liner.
Now you will begin to arrange the flowers from the diapers in the bucket. Once you have one where you want it, insert a skewer into the Styrofoam to set it in place.
How To Make A Baby Shower Diaper Cake
You will need fillers between the flowers from diapers. You can use tissue paper, tulle or other decorations. I have little white flowers to add to my diaper bouquet and I also use extra tissue paper to fill in the space and hide the elastics!
There are ways in which you can further embellish your diaper bouquet if you wish. You can personalize the bucket with your baby’s name with stickers or even a scrapbook cutter. You can also add ribbon to the bucket!
I like to have something in the middle of every shower table. I think these diaper bouquets look great on any table. There are some benefits to using diaper bouquets at your next baby shower!
How To Make A Fresh Citrus And Floral Bouquet
If you buy Huggies Snug & Dry diapers at Sam’s Club, you’ll have diapers left after you make your packs. These diapers can be sent directly to the new mom! Having extra diapers is an added bonus! New moms can never have too many diapers on hand!
You can add more color to your shower by using colorful buckets on the tables. You are not limited to one color!
The buckets are a great organizational tool for a new mom when she brings them home! It can be used to store children’s socks, small children’s toys, bathroom accessories, etc.
