According to suika, it will be uncensored. The publisher (Seven Seas Danmei) said they will stay true to all content included, and the books will be rated 17+ for violence, language and sexual content.

Welcome to the video where I talk about the blessing of a heavenly official (in the video I call it the official blessing of heaven because I’m a douche who can’t read) and I’m going to give a review and also talk about some. Plot spoilers at the end of the video. I’ve split this review into sections, so I have a plot section, a character section, and a critique section.
Eight hundred years ago, Zi Lian was the Crown Prince of the Xian Lu Kingdom. The one who was loved by his citizens and loved ones in the world. No wonder he ascended to heaven at such a young age. Now, eight hundred years later, Zi Lian ascends to heaven for the third time as a mockery of all three realms. On his first duty as a god, he meets a mysterious demon who rules over the spirits and terrorizes the heavens… But unbeknownst to Zi Lian, this demon king has been around for a very, very long time. .

TLDR: I really like the novel. I was in two minds whether to read it now or wait until Dongoa and the final drama. This was because, being quite new to Chinese codes and conventions, it is sometimes difficult for me to follow them. Even in this novel I still confuse the names of the 2 characters (Lang QianQiu and Quan QiZhen). However, this is not a criticism of the novel. I’ve seen some people give bad reviews of translated books because they can’t keep track of the characters’ names, and I don’t think that’s true.
I think MXTX really pushed themselves with this design. I think it’s twice as long as Grandmaster of Demon Cultivation, and I think I read an interview somewhere where MXTX talked about how he wanted the novel to be short. If you’ve read GDC and here, you’ll see a lot of similar plot points, like the villains and how the stories progress. I find with MXTX designs, we always have about 2-3 arcs of characters doing missions and then final arcs that tie them all together. I enjoy the ride with these types of novels as we tackle the characters and the world. We see these characters and their stories in every arc and it really makes you feel attached to their journey.
One thing I think MXTX is really good at is making quote lines. It did so at GDC, as “every day means every day”. Apparently, translators also go to translators so that they can show the real emotions in their translation. What’s my favorite quote from this novel?… I mean, it’s obvious
“I may not be able to decide whether the road is easy or not, but whether I take it is entirely up to me.”

MXTX talked about not wanting the two novels to be compared, I can imagine the pressure he felt when writing this novel, but in the end most people encounter this novel because of GDC. I don’t think we should compare them plot-wise because the worlds and stories are different, but I think it’s fair to write a comparison.
I’ve seen a lot of people complain about the writing at GDC saying it’s bad, I personally didn’t think it was too bad and keep in mind you’re reading a translated version. But MXTX has definitely made improvements in the way the characters are built and the story progresses. I would say his biggest improvement is probably his world building, we see more capable side characters in this book and he keeps the story pretty straight forward.
If you are reading sermons about heaven giving blessings, stop now because it doesn’t exist. A bit bittersweet… but what can you do… the plot still makes up for the lack of sex.
Just Finished Reading Tgcf And Wanna Start Mdzs, Need An Introduction To The Story!!
MXTX is not my favorite author. But his stories are always so rich that I think he deserves it. There are certain ways of writing MXTX that I don’t like. I think it says so in the original, if not, contact me. So the best way to talk about something I don’t like is to give an example. He sometimes introduces a character like “a man in a funeral dress and long black hair entered the room. He was wearing a mask.” Dude we know it’s white without a face, let’s say it’s white without a face. He did that a lot at GDC and it hurt me then and it hurts me now. There are probably a lot of people who like that style. They love him, but to me, if we know who he is, there’s no need to be mysterious.
If you enjoy reading romance novels for boys or even just romance novels, I would definitely recommend this one. I’m trying to think if I prefer GDC or Official Heaven’s Blessing… I’d say… I prefer HOB characters… the speed of GDC… and the designs I’d put on par. Since the designs are not at all similar, it is difficult to say that one is better than the other as both have their strengths and weaknesses.
One thing that HOB did better than GDC is the back story. The background in HOB is basically divided into books, books 2 and 4 are about the background, 1 3 5 is the “present” time. Where like at GDC I felt like there wasn’t enough background. So you can see how MXTX learned from GDC and put what it knows into this novel.
My favorite characters in the entire novel… I can say… my top 2 are Master Wind and Master Rain. Simply, I like their characters very much, and Master Baran is a girl for me. After those 2, I would say Hua Cheng. Because his character is relatable and even though we don’t learn all of his stories, you can just tell that he’s a sad character and I just want to hug him.

Now… there are times when I feel the characters are too similar. For example, with quan yizhen and wind master. Jijens’ character was introduced as this dark, sick, moody character, but then he basically replaces Master Wind. Their way of thinking and the way they spoke were very similar, I kept thinking how similar quan yizhens character was to wind master.
For some reason… of all the twists… the one that caught me off guard was the damn thing’s eye. How… I didn’t get it together, one eye was in the sword and the air grip on one eye was missing…
However, I would note that Black Water Dameon is the Earth Lord and Jun Woo is the antagonist.
My favorite twist in the entire novel was the black water demon being the lord of the earth. I thought it was very well done, I think this takes me back to my favorite arc, which was the priest of empty words. I thought it was very satisfying to see all the pieces come together in this reading arc and it kept me engaged
