Once a philosophy professor stood in front of his class with a large empty jar of mayonnaise. He filled the jar with big stones and asked his students if the jar is full. The disciples said yes, the jar was full. Then he added the pebbles to the jar and shook the jar a little to disperse the pebbles among the larger stones. Then he asked again, is the pitcher full now? The students agreed that the jar was still full. Then the teacher poured sand into the glass to fill the remaining empty space. Then the students agreed that the jar was completely full.
