Last Minute Halloween Costumes Using Cardboard

Last Minute Halloween Costumes Using Cardboard – Although Halloween falls on the same date every year, sometimes last-minute Halloween costumes are a reality. I remember when I was in high school, I was out of town the day my friend was hosting a Halloween party. But I arrived in town, costume-less, a few hours before the party. So what did I do? I wrapped it in aluminum foil (it’s really good for keeping you warm!) and made a mess, proving that last minute Halloween costumes are possible and can be very creative, fun, clever and best of all – easy and cheap.

There’s almost no limit to what you can do with this costume design convention. What you need: Two full size pieces of poster board (or oak tag as we used to call it when we were kids!), any color that matches your costume theme. If you need to add detail to your poster board, you’ll also need scissors, extra poster board for shoulder mounts or tape, tape, maybe a stapler, and colored paper. For each costume below, you will decorate a piece of poster board that will be your front panel. Decorate another poster board if needed since it will be on your back. Attach the two together with tape or extra strips of poster board, creating shoulder straps. Just make sure you leave room for your boss so you can easily turn it on/off.
