Small Pantry Closet Organization Ideas – 2019 will be the year of enterprise! Instead of setting multiple goals, I give myself two words to focus on: fitness and organization.

S and I are so organized, I’d lose my mind without it, but I want to facilitate organization – all areas of our home! I believe that when it comes to organizing anything from dishes to closets, being “over organized” is unachievable, unrealistic, and any kind of organization makes everyday life stressful. There is a healthy relationship between the two!

Our pantry is quite spacious, but with some strategic planning – we see it as more than enough space for two people and our family in the future.

We took this first step when we moved from our apartment to our new house, so I don’t have a before or after.

Get Organized Now that you’ve got everything done, you’ll want to focus on an organizational system for your meals. Whether it’s new shelves or using organizational tools like organizers or baskets, the right system will help you stay organized for a long time.

When we closed on our house in August, I went to a thrift store that same month. Our dish was my first project! Before I release a blog post, I like to wait to test, proofread, and share it until it is effective and truly functional. Three months and many meals later – our little dish has improved!

On paper, draw a sketch of the object. Don’t think so. Simplify the shelves and other important features you have. For example, I made sure to draw a pattern on my house so I knew the size of the dish I needed to use.

Right away, I knew I was going to remodel the closet door for more storage, so we went container shopping. S and I bought an Elfa door at the store and after three months we are very happy with it!

You can customize which drives you want, where they are located, and how many. We bought a mix of shallow and deep dishes.

I didn’t want anything to damage, clog or break the door so I was willing to try it and give it an honest return. Nothing works! Installation is very easy and the entire door system is durable.

There are many options during construction, from the type of door installation to the material of the door. We chose wire fences, above the door and a mix of two different sizes.

You will see these S tea containers in one container. The 8 oz and 4 oz jars fit perfectly in the shallow dish!

I absolutely love this door system and can’t recommend it enough for extra storage in a small pantry!

For smaller dishes, I find it important to keep the pantry clean so you can see what’s in and around the items. I used these clear containers from Container Storage everywhere.

I use two on our top shelf. RX Bars, coffee beans and zip lock bags for our back stock. Another for our health food, Vital Proteins collagen peptides, greens and supplement is Tone It Up protein powder.

For our pantry, I repackaged these “jumbo meals” for bagged snacks. I first tried a woven basket that covered the half-eaten food sack, but of course that didn’t make sense because we couldn’t see anything inside. We don’t have overly processed foods in our house so it’s mainly Krave Jerky, Boom Chicks and S Pretzels for lunch.

This lazy bean is the key to saving our protein bars! I highly recommend it. I also keep Justin’s almond butter and peanut butter packets.

Then for almonds, trail mix, dried banana chips.. basically we eat it most of the time, we use glass containers from this brand! We got this set for a wedding and we love them because they are so printed.

For our closets, I knew I had to try tiered shelves because it’s frustrating to see things at the same height for storage. We bought it and love it because it saves a ton of space on the shelf and expands to the width of your closet. I think this is key for a small closet because it allows you to quickly see what is on your shelves.

I used a glass jar mix to bake the cake. The worst thing for baking is to keep the flour and sugar in the main bag and not seal it. containers and now I’m afraid I’ll have to do the same for our food.

Effective Ways To Maximize Your Pantry Space

For four, I used this single glass bowl – sugar and oats. For others I used them. They are affordable and the sizes work perfectly for us!

I keep my health foods like cherry seeds, oat seeds, and cacao nibs in these OXO containers as wedding favors. This is a great option for cooking if you buy a kit and then buy separately for each size you need.

We have a stock of paper towels for the bottom shelf and of course.. La Croix! I put La Croix in this woven basket, which is great.

I’ve heard my father say it and I’ve seen it done all my life – pack our stuff!

Practical (and Pretty) Pantry Organizing Ideas

When he’s at the grocery store, he doesn’t buy two cans of tomato soup, he buys 12 lol. She always says that you should always pack non-perishable basics because it’s so easy to eat together during the week and that’s just the reality of living in New England. Every time a storm hits, the grocery shelves are empty, and if you stock up on groceries, you have to throw in some elbow grease for bread and milk, right?!

Strategically filling your weekly pantry with a food truck is just as important to the organization as the system itself! Before I go to the grocery store, I make sure to keep track of what we ate that week and pick out the groceries we need for our grocery store. It allows us to eat faster because there is a reason we eat faster.
