Still have some (or many) things to find on your holiday shopping list? Or, are you trying to plan when you can make that last rental to grab something?

To make up for the delay, many stores and retail chains will be open on Christmas Eve, but will close early or have reduced hours – and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Walmart stores will close at 6 p.m. local time and Target will close at 8 p.m. local time Drug store chains such as CVS and Walgreens will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Many restaurants will close their doors on Friday morning, as they are expected to be closed by Christmas.

This year, many stores have partnered with delivery companies like Uber, DoorDash and Postmates to get you your holiday gifts within hours. Offers services such as same-day delivery and in-store pickup.

But if you still need a last-minute holiday item or you’re scrambling to make a holiday meal, don’t fret.

Here’s a list of stores that will be open Christmas Eve with adjusted hours, according to the store’s holiday hours website.

Merchants and other businesses, depending on the state, may have special rules and precautions due to COVID-19.

And if you need to run out of wrapping paper or pick up an item for Christmas stocking at the last minute, you might be in luck. Most retail chains and stores will open their doors on Friday morning.

But remember – like the shops, many retail chains also operate on modified hours and close on Friday morning and will remain closed until Christmas Day.

CVS: Open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., except inside Target stores. Places that are normally open 24 hours will not be on Christmas Day, so be warned.

Houston Grocery Stores Open On Christmas Eve And Day

Walgreens: 24-hour locations are open 24 hours a day, and limited-hour locations must be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Duane Reade: 24-hour locations are open 24 hours a day, and limited-hour locations must be open between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Cumberland Farms: Locations open 7:00 a.m. to midnight. On Christmas morning, the store will offer free coffee and treats to customers.

Family Dollar: Stores should be open and operating normal hours, but call ahead to find out if your local store will be closing soon.
