Mini Christmas Tree Using Recycled Materials

Many years ago, while at handicrafts with my mother-in-law I learned to make mini Christmas trees from green pipe cleaners. You start with a small base block with a thin dowel sticking out. Then you take a long piece of pipe cleaner (about 6 inches or so) and screw it around the dowel.

But that makes them very realistic. before you twist each one You take about an inch of cleaner and slightly twist each end. (For sticks) You use several of the same length, then shorten the length around the dowel for a slimmer effect.
